For appointment to the posts of Followers in Central Reserve Police Force candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions :-
(ii) Physical Standards/PET
The candidate should be physically fit in all respects. The candidate should be able to complete 1 mile race in 10 minutes.
(iii) Medical Standards
The candidates must not knock knee, flat foot, vericose vain or squint in eyes. The must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient persormance of the duties.
(iv) Calculation and Allocation of Vacancies
The calculation of vacancies in a recruitment year will be done on an annual basis
Allocation of vacancies will be on regional basis so that adequate representation is given to all States and regions.
(v) Recruitment Procedure
(1) Rally System
The recruitment will be done by the Rally System. The range DIG with the approval of ADG/IG will send recruitment teams to specified areas twice a year in the month of April-May and October- November. The Board of officers will consist of a Commandant, two gazetted officer including a Medical Officer and a Co-opted member.
(2) Eligibility Verification
The eligibility such as age, educational qualification, experience should be verified from the original certificate so produced by the candidates. Those who do not conform to the eligibility criteria as advertised, should not be considered.
(3) Trade Test
The candidates will be put through Trade Test. Test is to be prescribed as per requirement of the job. Appendix 'A' is attached for conducting Trade Test for various categories of Followers.
(4) Medical Examination
The candidates will be medically examined after the Trade Test, to assess their physical and medical fitness as prescribed in the eligibility conditions. Those who fail in the Medical examination will not be considered far the post of Followers.
(5) Merit List
A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the VIII Class from a recognised Central / State School and the marks obtained in the trade test of particular job.
Wide publicity should be given in National/local Newspapers, TV, Radio, Education Institutions, Employment Exchange etc to enable all class of people to join the rally.
There will be reservation for SC/ST/OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories of personnel in accordance with the instructions issued by the Government from time to time., The unfilled reserved vacancies may also be filled through special recruitments.
There will be relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBCs., ex-Servicemen and other categories of persons in accordance with the Government orders on the subject.
In suitable cases, keeping in view the needs of the organisation the Director General can give relaxation in age limit etc.
(4) Wards of deceased / retired Force personnel who could not be appointed on compassionate grounds should be considered sympathetically during the general recruitment
Those who are found fit in eligibility and PET will be put through respective Trade Test 30 marks and the result will be prepared on the following proforma:-
