PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN BY CWA SINCE INCEPTION
 
           It is here that CRPF Wives Welfare Association (CWA) registered as NGO ,  steps in with its welfare activities for CRPF Jawans and their families.  Since its inception in 1995, CWA has undertaken following important activities:-

i)    Education of children and adults.
ii)   De-Addiction Programme
iii)  HIV Prevention Programme
iv)  Healthcare and stress management
v)   Family counseling -  To support family for solving their family problems and Financial Management
vi)  Vocational training to ladies
vii) Scholarship to children of deceased personnel.

EDUCATION SCHOLAR SHIP OUT OF CWA FUND

The committee has unanimously decided to grant scholarship to wards of deceased personnel of Follower staff who died due to natural       death. Further the committee has also decided that due to paucity of Fund, initially  the scholarship will be awarded to       wards of said deceased followers,  studying  in class-12th only.  

FREE COMPUTER EDUCATION

             10 centres have been selected for running of Free computer class initiated by   IVF (India Vision Foundation) and the classes are already running in 4 centres for children and family members of serving personnel.  Dr.Kiran Bedi, former IPS officer has inaugurated the project.

“JANANI”

It has been decided to launch a project namely “Janani” in association with an NGO- “Nanhi Chhaan”. The aims and objectives of this project are to organize various programmes related to proper care & upliftment of girl  child and to take up related programmes.

ANNUAL WELFARE EXHIBITION

             In order to motivate families of Force personnel, CRPF Wives’ Welfare Association  organizes  Annual Welfare Exhibition  every year.  The products from Regional CWAs spread over the country are displayed in this exhibition for sale.

RE-HABILITATION PROGRAMME  ON DRUG DE-ADDICTION

With the active support of  Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (SPYM), CWA has conducted free  treatment/rehabilitation programme in respect of Chronic Alcholic personnel of the Force. Duration of   programme was 5 weeks .
