The history of CRPF is replete with instances of heroic deeds and acts of velour from the day of its inception. We remember and honour all our martyrs who have laid down their lives in the line
of duty for the sake of their motherland serving in different parts of the country.
Western Sector CRPF has so far erected busts of 23 such martyrs of the force, belonging
to Maharashtra and Gujarat, in the school premises where these martyrs had studied. This step will not only keep their memory alive but also inspire young generations. During these functions, CRPF officers honoured the next of kin and parents of martyrs in
the presence of locals, teachers and students of the schools and prominent persons of the area.
Organ donation from deceased donors is gaining momentum in India and it is time to take this programme further to help thousands of patients with organ failure get a second chance at life.
CRPF as the largest paramilitary force has taken upon itself to contribute for this nobel cause in large
numbers. CRPF personnel and their family members were motivated and counseling sessions held by the field formations to come out and volunteer for this cause.
So far 1235 officers and men of Western Sector, CRPF have pledged to donate their organs. Their names
have been sent to CRPF hq for further submission to NOTTO (National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization) under Ministry of Health and family Welfare, GOI.
